Documenting creative businesses

A while ago I mentioned that I’m working on a new project with the aim to document creative businesses in London. I’ve now decided that I want to focus on this project for sure, mainly as part of my final major project, but also because it’s something that interests me a lot.

So here’s just another quick post, updating you on what stage I’m at - I’m still looking for all kinds of creative business owners that would be happy to collaborate, and have their working life documented.

While it might be a bit easier to come across cafes, florists, and other shops (as I said in the older post), it’s a bit harder to find artists and other creatives working in studios and ‘private’ spaces.

So, if you know anyone (or if you are that person) working in the creative industries do let me know! I’d appreciate any help, from pointing out a creative shop to someone creating cool artwork. Anything that comes to your mind :)

  2. Beautiful pictures, as always! Looking forward to seeing the outcome of this project, such a great piece to get stuck into.

Do you mind me asking what camera/lens you use? (Boring question I know, just intrigued!)

    1. Oh no, not a boring question at all! I use a Canon EOS 6D with a Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 most of the time (e.g. for the pictures above). I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any more questions, I'm happy to help out :)
Btw, you should come along to the Photo Brunch if you can, would love to have you, and get to know you! :)

    2. Oooh nice, I thought it was the 24-70, such a nice lens. Only wish I could afford one!
Photo Brunch sounds great - I definitely know how to use my camera though so wouldn't really need any help in that sense but I'd be up for one if you did a more advanced class? Maybe a meet up and talk photography and cameras and go off and shoot some stuff. Or if not, we should just meet up for a tea and a chat! :)

    3. Ha, I know, I had to save up for a while ;) But it definitely is so good!
You could always just come along anyway if you're free, would be lovely :) Otherwise let's definitely meet up some other time!
Oh, and I'll definitely have to think about doing a more advanced class, could be very interesting! Thanks for suggesting. x
