And I definitely did have a good time. The actual photo ‘hunting’ was a lot of fun in itself. What I loved most about the day though, was getting to know other bloggers in person. You can get kind of ‘lost’ on the internet, and forget how cool it is to actually get out there and meet people for real. Seriously, it is about 500 times more awesome meeting like-minded people in person.
Oh, and some of the team names were super fun as well (my team was called ‘Dancing Bananas', others were ‘Sparkling Zombies’ or ‘Angry Wizards’).
So, above are some random shots of the day, some of them part of the tasks we got to do. E.g. ‘a rabbit’, or ‘creative interpretation of an idiom’.
Now, another announcement: I always draw so much inspiration and motivation from meeting and talking to like-minded people. It’s like fuel for my ideas - chatting to other creatives drives me to ‘just do it’, rather than perfecting everything (which is what usually happens - and things hardly ever end up being done).
So, while I’m offering photo workshops, I really wanted to give those of you not living in London a chance to improve your photography and learn about your camera as well. That’s why I’m now offering Skype sessions. This is a chance for you to ask me anything you’ve always wanted to know about photography, and to get practical feedback and advice on how to use your camera, and improve your photography. Go to the shop for more info. I really can’t wait to meet you almost in person, and to have a chat. :)
And if you are based in London - I’ve set a specific date for the next Photo Brunch workshop, which will be on Saturday 23 November (note: used to be 16 Nov initially, but I've moved it one week!). Come along to meet some lovely people, share ideas and thoughts, and have a great time. If you came along to the Photo Hunt last Saturday, you might even meet some of the other attendees again.
Can’t wait to help you out with your camera and any questions you have, and catch up with some of you - Or get to know you in person if we haven’t met yet.
Go to the shop now to book your ticket - for either a Skype session or the Photo Brunch.
